ASTM A633 Grade E Steel Plate

The ASTM A633 specification is the Standard Specification for Normalized High-Strength Low-Alloy Structural Steel Plates when superior notch toughness is needed at low temperatures. Grades C is available up to 4" in thickness and Grade E is available up to 6" in thickness. Typical applications are utility poles as plates, offshore platforms, construction equipment frames, electric shovel dipper handles and suspension components.

Low alloy high strength steel plate A633 Grade E is in steel standard ASTM A633/A633M.For the thickness above 75mm,low alloy steel plate A633Gr.E need to be done double normalized.For steel plate A633GrE wider than 610mm,the elongation requirement is reduced two percentage points when rolling.Now Xinsteel can offer the maximum thickness for low alloy steel plates can reach 350mm with normalized heat treatment.The original mill test certificate shall be issued under format EN10204 3.1 or EN10204 3.2 if customer need the third party inspections.
